I want to take this time to wish all the fathers in the world to have a great father’s day weekend. Thank you my dear friend Warren Yip and his super adorable son Ian who were absolutely amazing models for this shoot. This series of photographs are shot from the point of view of baby Ian, his perception of seeing his handsome Daddy Warren at the age of 16 months old and spending father’s day together as a “date”. The look & feel of this session is inspired by Wong Kar-wai’s movie “Days of Being Wild.” One of my favorite movie of all times. Hope you enjoyed this session.
After thoughts by Za:
I don’t remember when was the last time I’ve celebrated father’s day with my Dad. My parents have been separated ever since I was a little girl. While I was living with my Mom, my Dad will come visit me sporadically. Sometimes once a week, once every two weeks, perhaps once in a month even. His work schedule was always so busy and random. Nevertheless, we always have a great time together. Whenever my father comes to see me, he will always dressed so ridiculously handsome. His hair was always nicely comb, his shirts, shoes, ties and his entire outfit always looked very neat and put together. Our time spent together was always wonderful, and it typically involved with eating good food and playing with his gadgets & coolest toys. Whether it is a hottest camera, a Walkman, latest comic books, whatever it was latest and coolest at the time, he would get me.
However, on the days we spend together, he had to leave so quickly, every single time……..
Our time spent together is short, but memories and love will last forever. I love you Daddy.
